Give it time, the Delta variant only started spiking GA's case count again 2 weeks ago. The UK's IIRC about 2 months into Delta. Right now their biggest problem is that a lot of people there got the Astrazenica vaccine which is only around 65% effective in preventing disease (vs J&J at 80% and Pfizer/Moderna around 95%). With delta having an R0 estimated to be between 5 and 8; 65% isn't enough to stop the spread even with most of the population vaccinated. The vaccines used in the US are more effective, but even if they do manage to continue working well enough that 99% of our hospitalizations are in the vaccinated; we've got so many more people refusing them that we're looking at a 4th wave building over the next month or two.

Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

No worry... you are not going to be the only ones for long...
As I heard it in the news today I thought:
OK, open up, let business recover, but keep masks and hygienic meassures at least...
That's something that doesn't really hurt and help but...

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you

More deaths than cases? How does that work?

It's week on week percentage increase. Deaths are also, currently, relatively low, (200 - two weeks ago; 296 - last week), so it doesn't take many to create a significant % increase.

Wow! Impressive! But you guys are ahead of the curve on lifting restrictions (and then re-imposing them ). I wouldn't be surprised if we are matching that within a couple of weeks and then following your lead on reintroducing lockdown!

Wait, were we ever in lockdown?
A festival I had planned was cancelled, so I guess something's going on
Other than that, no one over here seems to mind anymore.

Indeed, especially if that train has David Crosby as a passenger.
