This one is a little rough at the end and all tied up in the middle - so my answer is going to have to be...

There are several critical problems using the current version of ReSharper in VS2019 v16.10. They are investigating and working on a fix.
https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/RSRP-484415[^]
If you use R#, I would strongly recommend that you hold off on updating VS2019 until the fix is released.
Edit: The fix has now been released as version 2021.1.3.

That's me, always uninstall resharper when work install it on my machine!
I thought it adds little functionality of its own while crippling VS own build-in refactoring tools..
|
|

I think it adds tremendous functionality, and I have been using it in a professional capacity since 2012.
but, I'm a weirdo, and like to go against the grain.

Same here. R#er makes VS even more of a pig than normal, but adds enough useful to me stuff to be worth it.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

I have used R# off-n-on, and each time I end up uninstalling it as I find the way it bogs VS down is not a good price to pay for the functionality I like. YMMV

Thanks for the heads up!!

Thanks ! That probably explains why VS 16.10 has been suddenly going catatonic on me, not responding to kb or mouse.
I am now updating Rx to 2021.1.3

On another topic, I hope you re successfully using WinForm with the latest .NET Core by now?!
Unless you already moved to .NET MAUI?!

I read a few month ago they got every ting working I reckon...
Just for fun I created a new WinForm project (using .NET5) and it had a designer that jog some memory and it ran fine...
I can't say more with great certainty, I am more of a WPF/WinUI/Xaml person these days!

Oscitation is an enjoyable thing, but not as enjoyable as pandiculation, especially after just waking up.

Haha I know what you mean.
It doesn't sound Kid Sister safe at all.
But I couldn't help it.
Especially after getting a "Yawn" for a post that was obviously yawnful.

In my schooldays, I often replaced cogitation with oscitation.

Me too.
Cogitation requires concentration and effort.
Alas oscitation doesn't and it either just happens or you inherit it from others.
