I was going to write a few paragraphs, and am that glad I didn't because the "5 mongolian stompers rule" covers the same, or pretty much the same, territory. The word I first tried was "clique-ish" which was too "My Rainbow Pony"-ish. The mongolian Stomper is much stronger a term.

It's impossible for a decent programmer or software maven to get any cred on Stack Overflow, should they join now, especially the pain it would take to rise to the level of "points" needed to have any say.

On this occasion, I'd like to bestow my down-vote of StackOverflow and all things StackOverflow. Apparently, if a question wasn't answered before 2010, it shouldn't be asked. StackOverflow can be a mean and nasty place to demonstrate one's lack of knowledge on a subject.
Down with OverflowImperialism.
Viva la revolución!
However, Stack UX and Stack Programmers, for user interface and programming subjects in general, respectively, are very much thriving these days. Sorry I didn't answer your question.

I've had to correct a number of retards who think this is a holiday in which we honor the military. It's actually a socialist holiday for "workers".
