You're welcome. It will do what you want, it can update multiple files, make a backup of the originals, you can add a custom splash screen, add a license agreement the user has to agree to, to continue, add a readme file (both can be loaded from disk), two different UI's. (Install Shield like - which I use - and a simple)
I use it a lot and am very pleased with it.

How can I check for a NULL/NOTHING/VOID in VB .NET?
If I recall correctly in VB6 it was ISNULL(Variable,Var if NULL)
and i think in VBA it was NZ(Variable,Var if NULL)
Can't find the .Net equivalent.

I think you can use expression vbNull! something like this:
If you have a function like:
Private Function LoadData() As DataReader
So your code can be like this:
If LoadData = vbNull Then
.
.
.

Hi, my orignal database is store in Ms access. And I want to transfer the information of database to the other location. Now my system has only 56kbp modem to access the internet. Can any one give me any solution that i could convert my data as small as i can in order to send via e-mail using the slow connection?

Try zipping it. Really, that's going to save space a lot more efficiently than anything else you might try.

You shoula also use the Access utility to compact the database as well. If an Access database has been used a lot it tends to have a lot of garbage in it that increases the size.

I need to attach xml file to email object (cdont or whatever). The main problem is i create that file programmatically and do not want to save it on server. So i have to save it from stream. I use vbscript and asp classic. Thx

I wouldn't put statements like that. It implies that this must be the most important thing the reader has to do when it clearly isn't. Also, the fact that you put "expecting" puts a sort of guilt trip on the reader which is unwanted. (or that could just be me having been born into a family with some members on the extreme wing of the Free Kirk.)

I have what I think is a simple task, but I have yet to find the answer. I'm trying to insert a table field into a query string from a dropdown list. I'm using MySql for a database, and if I use a control parameter, it inserts the selected value from the dropdown into the query with single quotes, like 'xxx'. MySql wants field name to be unquoted, like xxx. My query is like SELECT name, number, city FROM mytable WHERE xxx LIKE 'something';. And I can't figure out how to insert the xxx into the query without the quotes. I was wondering if any of you have ever done something like this where you entered a field name into a query string. I'm sure this is done somehow. I can't imagine not being able to do this. Any suggestion, and I mean ANY suggestion will be welcomed. How would you do it with MSsql or access?

Yes -as Asif says, without the quotes.
Dim sFieldName as string = cmbField.Text
Dim sSQL as string = "SELECT * FROM MyTable WHERE " & sFieldName & " = 'A Value'"
Note that you need to be wary of SQL Injection attacks etc in this case... Can the user modify the combo text?

I am trying to cofigure Oledbdatadabter with wizard. And i am using ACCESS database.I want to use parameter in OledbDataadapter Select Command Property window.
I have simple form which has a one combobox, one datagrid and one update button. I want make select like this Select * from Banks where BankName= combobox.text but if i write Select * from Banks where BankName='CITIBANK' query is working. But i can not take parameters from combobox.
In OledbDataadapter Select Command Property window i see Parameters Property but i can not configure it.
If u can please help me about my trouble.

I have a graph that needs the X axis labels to be arranged vertically. The labels are links to different pages. If I use System.Drawing's DrawString method, the link "<a href="x.aspx" >x</a>" is shown as it is instead of a link in the image. Is there any way to show the text vertically and with the links retained? Please help.

I don't know really.
But I guess there are two, or may be three, options.
1) Check if the linklabel class has a predefined orientation property (I guess not ... but it's worth a check)
2) Override the linklabel onPaint method (tricky)
3) Use the drawstring, intercept the click event on the "father" object, check if it's inside your text and then launch the link.

Hi am looking to write a tutorial/training application that will have tranisitions between images...cross fade, pan & zoom etc. ... can't seem to find any examples on how to create these effects between images...just getting started in vb.net and looking for code examples to get up to speed.

You'd need to draw these yourself, manually. There's no built in support for anything like that.

Read my image processing articles for info on accessing an image directly. Then create a control and write transitions that draw the first image, then progressively draw the second image over the top of it.

OK - I need to way to know when a class property has changed.
I have a collection of PropertyInfo and add to it thus:-

Private _PropertiesChanged As New System.Data.PropertyCollection

But some of my classes have a great many properties ... how can I make it so that is any property is updated it adds itself to the _ChangedProperties collection without this code overhead???
