Hello

i have problem i want to store date into mysql from asp.net application but its not storing the date..i don't know why?

i want to compare at the time of query....

but its not comparing the date

its not giving any error but when i try to store the date in mysql it does not store the date.

i want to compare that store date with current date from query and it not working.
plz help me

Mysql has another format for storing date,named TIMESTAMP
if you want store date into mysql you must use this.

TIMESTAMP format store the seconds number from 1970/1/1 until your date
you can use this mysql methods for working with TIMESTAMP:

SELECT UNIX_TIMESTAMP( '2006/2/2' )

SELECT date_format( from_unixtime( '1138825800' ) , '%Y/%m/%d' )

what should be datatype for storing datatype in mysql..will these work in asp.net 1.1.

i worked this myself using mysql from aspnet1.1
you must work with functions above that i said.
one of them convert your date to TIMESTAMP format
another one convert form TIMESTAMP to normal date format

see sample in above that i said.

you must use these commands on your Queries.

i have to show some data (which is in database ) in pdf format.

i have used datalist control,label & image control to show that data.

now how to convert in pdf format.

i don't work with PDF tools in .net .

Format the date in ISO 8601 format, and it will work just fine.

string dateString = theDate.ToString("yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss")

Hi,

After i have installed .Net 2005,SQL Server 2005 & IIS, i have tried to access all application i have deployed in localhost(Eg. http://localhost/test/test.aspx, http://localhost). But its showing the error "You are not authorized to view this page.You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials you supplied." I have checked the IIS->Properties->Directory Security->Allow Anonymous Access but its not working. I have logged into my machine using admin login.
Can any one help me what are the security settings i have check also if you could send me some links where i can get the relevent information it could be helpful for me.

Hi,

I am not sure , but just give it a try.
Check in the IIS properties which framework is running.
For the projects developed in .NET 1.1 , change it to .Framework 1.1

Many thanks for your reply.

The paalication was developed using .Net Framework 2.0 and the IIS is currently using 2.0 but still its not working Frown | :-(

try to give permission to folders for "aspnet" user mouse right click share and security, on share tab there is a permission button clik it ,add->advanced->find now after do this you will see a user list find aspnet user in the list and click ok
