I looked a bit at your code, though, and I have some comments:
:: Your variable names are not very descriptive.
:: Your code should be indented: It's quite hard to follow as it is.
:: Why do you duplicate the code in Page_Load and btnLogin_Click?
:: Request.Browser.Cookies doesn't tell if the browser accepts cookies, it only tells if the browser is capable of accepting cookies.
:: Why on earth do you store the connection string in a session variable?
:: Your code is wide open for an SQL injection attack.
:: Why are you assigning string values to boolean variables, and why are you comparing boolean variables to strings?
:: You have Else If statements that checks the exact inverse of the If statement. That adds only confusion over a plain Else statement.

You have drawn an incorrect conclusion from what you read. The fact that the library has to be included when using a specific feature doesn't mean that the sole purpose of that library is to provide that feature.
The mscorlib library contains the base functionality of the .NET framework, like basic data types, arrays, IO, encodings, globalization, delegates, exceptions, Math, Type, etc.
A few days ago, I was mad trying to "escape from the trap of framesets", but nobody on Internet care to talk about it.
I think that you just failed to find the ones who do. It's a well known fact that the _top target will get you to the main window.

Do I have to prove my point?
On my first attempt to google[^] for a way to get out of frames, I found an abundence of sites that offered a solution. Eight out of the ten hits on the first page are right on the spot, and I think that there are quite some more in the following 17 million pages.
I wonder if you looked in a different internet than I, when you say that noone on the internet speaks about it...

I agree with Guffa's suggestion that you take this code and write an article with it. In addition to providing the code, an article gives you a chance to explain what is going on with the code - why you wrote it the way you did, to solve which problems, and so on. It looks like you have a good start here.

I’m new to web development and asp.net and I have been having trouble developing some of the client-side script. I have created an aps.net project with two webforms that are in two frames in a window. The first webform has a datagrid and the second (main webform) has javascript that will updates it’s contents based on the selected value in the datagrid. I would like to execute specific script on the main webform when the user makes a selection in the datagrid. I would also need to send the datagrid’s selected value to the main webform. I can't figure out how to accomplish this and I can’t find any references about this process. Any input on this would be appreciated.

Is is possible to access an ftp server via ssl programatically especially when I'm uploading?
I know about the enableSsl property of FTPWebRequest but it doesn't seem to be working because it tells me that the Certificate given it was invalid even though I put it in the ftp server.
Still learning...

Look for examples of paging. What you want is a limited form of paging, e.g. without buttons for first, last, previous and all the pages, only having the next button.

Hi,
I have a div element on one HTML page and I want to take the inner html of that div and insert it into an element on another page (the calling page).
This would be pretty easy to do w/ javascript if it all were on the same page, but I need to get the html from a different page.
How can I do this client side?

Hi all
I am new to this and found it by accident but was hoping that someone might be able to help me.
I am currently putting together a web page for a driving school that I am setting up. I want to include a page that has a calendar function very similar to that of microsoft outlook in the sence that the NEW customer would be able to click on a date and then a time and a new page opens allowing them to put in their details, credit card, address, name etc, thus booking the lesson.
In order to achieve all this I need the basic code which people keep telling me is simple but doesn't know how to do it.
Is there a calendar that is available that I can customise, my skills are very basic so it would have to be very close,or is it easier to start from scratch. A task that I know I could not do.
Hope someone can help

and still keep my page valid xhtml transitional? w3c's validator says its not a valid attribute, and i want to keep my page valid xhtml transitional.

Hi, I am not really sure how to implement this, but I need to do it, and it has to be performant.
What is the most performant way to access the cache from a classlibrary ?

I have to do it for monday and I have not a clear idea on how to make it

PS: I don't know if it might help, but it's a class library that receives calls and sessions from a web app and has to manage them and do things with the cache.

i am trying to upload a file to an https server. when i use iexplorer (ms internet explorer) it works. when i try my app its not working, who would of guessed right. i have an http packet analyzer and everything appears the same as iexplorer. it looks like i am sending the exact same data as iexplorer is sending.
