How can we create a javascript grid?

Hi All,
I have created dynamically some buttons in my page,
but the thing here is, my event handler for the button s not working.
My coding is (aspx.cs page)
Button bt = new Button();
bt.text = "Test"
bt.Click +=new EventHandler(bt_Click);
protected void bt_Click(object b, System.EventArgs e)
{
}
i hope this is correct..
but its not working,debug also not firing, post back is firing(page load) correctly..

Add a line to your code and it should work.
testDiv.Controls.Add(bt);
thus in total:
Button bt = new Button();
bt.Text = "Test";
bt.Click += new EventHandler(bt_Click);
testDiv.Controls.Add(bt);

I am sending mail using createuserwizard. The mail is sent but it appears in the "Spam".
How can I define my mail to appear in inbox and not in spam folder

The best option is go to the spam box.And click on not spam.So next time when the message comes from that sender it will come directly come to your inbox instead to spam.

Hi Guys,
Can you someone advice me handling database in asp.net
Which is the best practice either closing database & recordset (i.e. sqlcommand,sqlreader etc) connection
as soon as getting the required data or just closing the recordset(i.e sqlreader, sqladapter) and retaining the database connection(i.e sqlcommand)

Is it fine to close the database connection once the transaction completed?
or
Is it fine to keep the database connection until closing the appln.?

Of course. You are right.
It is the new technology with ADO.NET. We now work with Disconnected Data Architecture.
We connect only when actual database is needed. We can create a replica of the original database (with relations) in our DataSet.
Though there is also an option to use DataReader which works similar to ADO.
So call :
Connection.Open()
Command.ExecuteNonQuery()
Connection.Close()
As all of them are Disposable, you can use Using Block.

i think its better to close connection as your task of fetching record is completed because its feature of ado.net disconnected framework
for that below code is better tech.
the best way is use of using block
using(connectionobject)
{
// perform database related transaction here
}
its close your connection once it get executed successfully
or
use
try
{
}
finally
{
connectionobj.close();
}

Hi Peoples,
I am doing an asp application in which i have to do some validation with some values in the page as
text box and buffer by means of datatable,
but when i click the button my as its coming to the page load(post back)
my data table are getting cleared... its becoming null, even though i checked
!Ispostback,
how to do this, how to do that button click in the means that i should use all my values.

I think your data is getting removed on every postback so you can put your data in the viewstate and access it as per your requirement.

just now am googling though i found the same as u said, even though before posting here i did that, but i didnt find.
but how to use the view state?? is it possible to use for the data table also??
and one more thing brij.. view state wont be true by default..
and i am creating the dynamic controls??

There is property ViewState of Page.You can access it from server side code like
ViewState["mydatatable"]=your datatable<br />
and access it as<br />
DataTable dt =(DataTable)ViewState["mydatatable"];<br />

Make your data table as
static private datatable dt
than try because value of the static varible dont get cleared during function call back and during page post pack

hi
I bound data from an stp to sqldatasource that link to a radgrid
I want to read data from current row special column of sqldatasource
(not from grid),that I want is similar this:
sqldatasource1.rowcurrent.columns["ID"].value
I try any solution but not success please help me.

You need the grid to find the data from the source.
You have to cast the Object sender in the method to the objecttype desired. I presume it is RadGridRow ( I do not use that object so better chewck your manual)
RadGridRow row = (RadGridRow)sender;
DataRowView dView = (DataRowView)row.NamingContainer;
Normally i use the GridView component and in that case it is:
GridViewRow row = (GridViewRow)sender;
DataRowView dView = (DataRowView)row.NamingContainer;

In Word you can only store 2 bytes. That is why I use Writer.

Look I have all data in sqldatasource but don't add all of column in
grid it means that I want retrieve Data realty from grid's.
