I do make coffee for the Mrs. every morning, the brewing and the milk and sugar in her cup, does that appease the coffee gods?

Same as you but instead of making coffee we have someone at office that makes us the coffee every morning and after noon.

Alarm goes off at 0700, hit snooze 2 or 3 times, get up, turn heating on (if appropriate), have shower, make first attempt to wake daughter up, go downstairs and put on kettle and George Formby grill, open curtains, check work phone for emails to be pre-warned*, go back upstairs, make second attempt to wake daughter, let dog out of my bedroom and take him downstairs to let him out into the back garden, make tea, breakfast, and packed lunch for daughter (sometimes for myself too), go back upstairs and remove daughter from her bed to come downstairs and eat breakfast, get dressed, take daughter to school, check work phone for emails to be pre-warned**, drive to work.
Park car, check work phone for emails to be pre-warned**, walk to office, take lift to first floor as hip not working properly since car crash, logon to PC which has been turned on all night.
At this point if there is something that needs addressing I will address it straight away, if there is an email that has angered me then I will type out a caustic reply then not send to give me time to calm down and reconsider, check CP, check Derby County news, check BBC news and sport headlines.
Think about doing some actual work.
Acknowledge colleagues and distract them with pointless chatter is cannot be bothered with work yet.
*If necessary will log in from home to look at.
**This is the point at which I will return home to remote to work as is 5 minutes drive whereas the office is 35 minutes.

I reach office normally by 09.40 AM.
The first thing I do is to check emails to see if there's anything that needs immediate attention. If not, I'll take go get myself a green tea and a bottle of water from the pantry.
I check CP once every couple of hours or so through the day.

Working from home used to be wonderful, get coffee, demand breakfast from the wife, turn on computer (always reboot every night) consider whether the ashtray really needs emptying or can I stuff a couple more buts in there and shame the wife into emptying it when she delivers breakfast. Look at emails, decide which can be ignored and which have $ attached.
I loved working from home in the 90s, I don't think I EVER got breakfast delivered, once the ashtray started bulging at the side I would have to empty it or move to another location (garage was suggested).
Now - get into the office 8am, start computer, read ebook while the bastard thing negotiates with the innumerable corpotare AV and network security tools. 10-12 minutes pleasant reading and I can now go check CP and the paper. Look at emails and dicide which can be ignored because I get CCd every bit of crap in the teams 
AND I'm getting f***ing OLD, I really dislike this century!

Depends on the day, some times come in start coding asap (usually when I have had an idea at 2:00 am)
Most times wander in get a coffee while PC is booting stare blankly at screen for a period of time(allegedly reading email and trying to appear busy for the next 8 hours while not being).

This morning I dragged myself out of my pit, performed the the S's (sh*t, shower & shave), dressed, got into my car and drove 2 miles, cursing ay the idiot who cut me up at the motorway junction, before realising that I had not switched my headlights on! OOPS!

Standard day for working at the office:
06:45 Alarm goes off for the first time.
07:30 Alarm goes off for the last time...yeah i love to snooze it.
07:31 Kick the Cat out of my Bed, she loves to sleep in as well.
07:35 Shower and Bathroom routine.
08:00 to 08:10 Dressed and in the Car.
08:30 arrive at the office, swearing at the bad parking situation and telling myself to get out earlier to get a good spot
08:35 Parked and up the bakery in front of the office to get at least something for breakfast.
08:40 up into the 2nd floor, unpacking the laptop, connect everything and while it boots i grab a coffee in the office kitchen.
08:50 start reading the news, checking cp from time to time for MQOTD , and checking if prices on my amazon whishlist have dropped...Fotography is a hell of an expensive hobby.
09:00 Start working till 18:00 or more depend on the day.
Work with customer appointment in anyother city:
04:30 - 05:30 (depends on the location where i have to go) Wakeup
+30 Min showered, dressed, and out the door.
+30 min arrival at either the office to get the carpool, or arrival at SIXT for the rental.
and off i am to the customer. normally appointments start at 09:00

I
- Try to get in the office before as many permies as possible (but not the weirdos who I think actually live there)
- Logon PC which was restarted the previous night (if it's off then I know there's been a power cut, if I need to restart it again I know we've had a patch rolled out)
- Make tea while machine goes through its interminable start up and auto-logons
- Take tea back to desk, eat breakfast (biscuits or roll) while looking through emails (not many for a contractor ), and depending on the day check out either xkcd or the old new thing
- Network is pants so check my backups did actually back up
- Start working - usually before I've finished breakfast
So not too far from your routine but possibly a little shorter. And yes, reading mail IS definitely working - hard work sometimes

Take a shower
Make and drink a coffee
Drive to work
Turn on PC (at about 7:00), take some breakfast as the PC starts (it's turnef off all the nights)
Read Emails and check CodeProject
Start working..
