There's your problem - never click on any links in a spam message, not even the "stop sending me this rubbish" link. All it does is let the spammer know that your email address is valid, which means they can demand a higher price when they sell it on to other spammers.

Normally I wouldn't but BMW already knows the email is valid because of bill pay.

Depends if it's really spam (i.e. unsolicited from some list sold to spammers), in which case you're right, or if it's some 'extra information newsletter' or something from a reputable company you signed up with, in which case the unsubscribe should work correctly.

<insert extreme="" profanity="">
I use Internet Explorer for really one reason - it's somewhat compatible with my customer's backend exchange system. So, I find myself on any given day having numerous tabs open. It's a set of working thoughts - you know how this goes. This morning, I had something like 14 tabs open, all various searches, things I wanted to read, things I needed to read, working email..
Windows pushes out an update, and I get a popup "May I reboot?" just as I'm hitting a return in my email. Yup, flushed. Now, here's my bitch. IE only remembers the last window it closed. So, W7 closes down the browser and the last window closed is some meaningless popup.
Coming back to IE, if I want to reopen the last session, I get the meaningless popup.
I have searched over the years for extensions and what have you that will automatically remember the tabs in a fashion like Firebird or Opera?

There you go now. You want to use a vintage system and expect it to operate like the latest version. Good luck with that.

I know, I know. I only use it for compatibility. The funny part is that IE11 is NOT compatible with the Exchange server, so I'm having to use IE10. Not that it would matter...
iE tab looks like it's giving me some hope....

The best extension I found that does that is here: https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/[^]

That has not been my experience with IE. I believe there's an option for it to open the last set of tabs on start of IE. Also, you could use chrome with an iE tab extension. That has worked well for me.

Not really, it works well and gets the job done. Don't be so closed-minded.

Fair enough, no 10-ton rock, then, but a rope with frying pans tied to it.

Well the problem is one of timing. You can try it yourself. Open up 5 tabs, then a tab in a separate window. Close the multitab one followed by the standalone.
HOWEVER, I have no problem looking into iE tab extension, that gives me some hope...

The only good use I've ever got from IE came the other day my ex asked me what browser I used she was having trouble with her's and I recommended IE. Yeah I know I'm going to hell but at least I'll know everyone.
