I switched to them about three years ago, and (provided you remember to subscribe to email alerts) I've had few problems - there was a week of daily DDOS attacks which they mitigated pretty quickly each time, and a couple of server upgrades which slowed the email / website down for a couple of hours. The website stopped working completely after one upgrade, but they fixed it by editing my web.config as soon as alerted - the upgraded system had slightly different settings which crashed the site.
Not bad - there are certainly a heck of a lot worse out there for the same money!

Arvixe is excellent. The most surprising thing is that I never had any problem.
When I asked them some questions, they replied me so fast that I wondered how they paid their staff for such small price.
They are really excellent. (by the way, my websites are very low traffic)

I've hosted four ASP.NET sites with them for the past three years. They are OK, I'd give them a 7/10. Support is OK, albeit the wait can be long on the chat and they are not good with complex configuration issues (have to escalate). The higher volume sites crash periodically and I have to restart the app pool. Their shared servers are pretty overloaded (I am on DOCK.arvixe.com), so initial page loads and SQL queries can be mighty slow.
I am thinking of moving my new clients to Mochahost but Mocha does not have a European data center (Arvixe does) -- I have several European clients -- so I am a little torn.

I meant to respond sooner and I do apologize for not doing so. In regards to our chat system, the entire system was moved to it's own server as to stop the crashing that was admittedly occurring. Unfortunately if you are running a higher volume site, your needs are exceeding what the shared server was meant for initially, or at least the Personal Class version. Depending on the traffic (which you stated is high volume), I'd recommend a Business Class server as there are less users so the strain is far less than the Personal Class.
Lastly, the Dock server is one of the older servers and is based here in the U.S. . That being said, we now have servers located in the EU that may benefit you and your clients far more than the one you are currently on.

I had some problems with them:
SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) account expired several times and the reports stopped working and that is bad for business. SSRS is not a common need for websites but the point is how much can you trust them to support your client's business.
Also I had some problems with server upgrades that did not keep compatible configurations.
Also 2 years ago or so, support was much better.

When we do upgrades of any kind, we send out notices (usually a few) ahead of time to assure that our customers know what is to occur and what precautions or steps needed to be taken on their behalf to assure they and their clients have enough time to make whatever changes need to be made. We are upgrading all our Windows Servers to the 2012 version, so there may be aspects that become outdated, but we always try to accommodate as best as we can for those customers running older versions of software.

I've used Arvixe for a ASP .NET hosting for a couple of years with pretty good success, and similar marginal service experience as already mentioned. I can add, that I’ve had a terrible time with secure FTP. I access Arvixe servers with FTPES using FileZilla. It is intermittent, and completely fails every few months. It will take me about two weeks of service attempts to reach someone who will acknowledge the problem. Once Arvixe does acknowledge the problem, they can clear up quickly, however this painful cycle repeats it self.

I have been using them for 3 years for a handful of sites.
I have had no major issues.
The biggest I had was last month when one of my sites slowed to a crawl.
I contacted them via their web site online chat (I find the best and fastest way) and they confirmed within a few minutes that there was indeed an issue. They opened a ticket for me and the next day it was fixed. It was something to do with a full log, in their words "the log had grown up"
Their web dashboard gives me everything I need and works well most of the time but sometimes it gives an error and needs to be refeshed.
I cannot comment on the 'hostability' of high traffic sites.
I have static sites, PHP, dotnetnuke sites, NopCommerce sites and custom ASP.net sites all working fine. I am also hosing some REST data services I developed.
Now that being said, we are getting a ton of stuff for dirt cheap- unlimited web sites, unlimited traffic (I think), unmimited domains, unlimited sql server (lite) databases and mySQL, easy to configure ftp, decent admin panel, etc. We were also offered one free SSL cert and dedicated IP address.
We were recently contacted by them and told they will be doing a major upgrade of our system at no additional cost including going to server 2012, sql server 2012 (not lite), redundant 10GM pipes, more ram, faster processor, etc. I don't know if possibly everyone gets the same upgrade and they just make it look like you get it because you have been a good customer...
He had been doing our own web hosting on our own equipment for over 10 years but it is a no-brainer to go with someone like Arvixe and put money in our own pockets every month instead of paying for our own power, crappy Interner pipe etc...

I'm entering a new cycle of Secure FTP not working. This whale surfaces every few months, and takes about two weeks to get someone to acknowledge the problem. Today is the first day of the new cycle.

I've been using them for about a year or so now, but only as a testing/staging host using their personal shared hosting plan. Overall, I am quite satisfied. The only complaint I really have is the server response time, but I don’t feel that I can expect much more, considering the low cost and my use case. If it really bothered me, or if I were going to host production sites, I would probably consider their business plan.

I have a Personal Class ASP.NET Web Hosting account for over 2 years, and last Sept signed up for a Business Class ASP.NET account. I have been very happy with them. On both accounts, I have the unlimited domains. They do have a service to sign up for, to send you notifications whenever they do upgrades to your server. Just recently, they upgraded my Personal Class server to Windows Server 2012 and MS-Sql 2012. All during the process, I received emails telling me the status of the upgrade.

I manage a site on their ASP Pro platform. We have been on Arvixe for 18 months or so.
6 days ago the shared server that we are on was subject to a DDOS attack.
I have heard as many excuses as I care to hear over the past 6 days and still have no LIVE website.
Up until now, we have been very happy with them, with the only exception being the server response times (we are on a shared server after all). If the response times were terrible we could have always moved to a dedicated server and improved them.
DO NOT expect any true DDOS protection. I suppose they could rightfully claim that they monitor such stuff tho

Not so.... neither of our sites are back to life yet. I am getting the same 500 error I have been getting since about 7 hours ago.

This type of response, frankly is what is so exasperating. For 6 days we have heard assurances that a fix was imminent, while days go by....
Case in Point, I called in almost 6 hours ago and was very politely told that the 1TB of data was being copied over and that it needed "a couple hours" to be fully complete. Our site is still down.
I can understand that techs are running like mad to get the situation resolved. It doe snot help to hear platitudes and polite assurances, but results are what is needed. After 6 days of asking for the honest truth about ETAs, I am still unsure that the honest truth exists at the level of tech support I can reach.
All of that said, we have been very very happy with the service up until 6 days ago. Typical though.... One never worries about one's IT dept, or infrastructure until it fails. Then one bitches up a storm.
So once more for those that read this: Arvixe has been a great service, right up until this damned DDOS attack. From that point on, they have tried very hard to tell us what we needed to hear, they have just too many things spinning to make sure the info they pass on is accurate across the entire support team.

I've found that with Arvixe it's a matter of luck and what you need the service for. I did my research when going with them and received a lot of good feedback. Unfortunately, for me they didn't work out.
The Windows Server was going down constantly and their customer support takes a lot of time to respond (I recommend you monitor your server uptime). Our server got hit by a DDOS attack and it took two days to get the service running again. They scheduled maintenance without notifying me.
If you just want to host some websites very cheap it's an ok service as long as you don't care the site go down often. But anything other than that I would shop for a different service. I was with them for two years because I signed a two year agreement but had to move most of my sites out of it after a few months of service.

Anyway, today it is: about a liter of rice pudding, containing just under 100g of butter and a significant amount of sugar.
The experiment this time is seeing how much of it I can eat. I've already had dinner, this is just the dessert.
edit: this might have been a bad idea. I feel terrible and I'm only halfway.
