It's Friday.
And Monday is a good day: it's the Thursdays you have to watch for.
Too late in the week to start anything big and new, to early in the week to knock off early...As DNA said: "I never did get the hang of Thursdays"

I dislike Tuesdays in particular. That's the day with the worst morning traffic.

But there's fifty times every other kind of sht1 in Amsterdam.
Maar, joking aside, I really don't like Amsterdam because whenever I'm there, I am inevitably approached by drunken and/or stoned Britons and Yanks who act like I'm their long-lost pal, and demand that I direct them to the red-light district and/or a coffee shop.
It really sucks to be British in Amsterdam. It's where the scum of Britain and the States go.

I'm freakin' nuts but, actually I kind of like Mondays, after all the running around with the missus and kids on the weekend (and it's EVERY weekend), Monday is kind of relaxing.

Yup, definitely mondays are the worst days for me.
My friend and I always call it... "Mundane Monday".

I much prefer Mondays as I am self employed and the week ahead is potentially full of great blessings. And the challenges have for days for a solution.

I'm not fixed to working 9 - 5 Monday to Friday, but when I was, I always enjoyed Mondays. After a nice weekend break, a Monday morning is a good, fresh start to challenges that you get tired of by Friday.

TL;DR; - Argh!
This chump always asks me 3 questions directly in a row :
- are you doing ok
- need any help
- have any questions for me
The annoying part of that is that he can't do anything at all if I say no, or that I need help, and he can't answer any questions at all.
He was not able to change styles one day when I was gone because he didn't remember that the styl middleware would overwrite his stuff.... on top of that he edited stuff on the tablet itself (so not to mess up the code in the editor) instead of using source control, so the automatic update scripts we wrote for the demo tablets couldn't sync because the changes were not saved/committed. (I found all this out after on my own... when stuff stopped working).
He has no way of working in this code at all.
The only reason he even asks is so he can seem engaged. He tells everyone that he's up with the code base and is working on stuff concurrently with me. He says we don't need regular meetings with anyone but me and him (because it was starting to cause an accountability issue on his part [ read - expose him]) because we have "regular quick meetings"
so he counts those 3 questions as "a quick 2 minute meeting to stay up to speed".
I'm so happy I'm leaving soon I hear a definite answer about the remote job on Tuesday.
--update--
We just had a meeting with everyone.
He was saying it again. He "has been working on that on the weekend" and "is going to jump right in with me on Monday". There was one other thing I'll be doing that "He is going to do this weekend". He's not going to do anything more than he already has... which is nothing.
I have mentioned this to others. That's why we started having the regular meetings.. which have just become a joke. I've been pushing for them to hire someone for a couple months now. I think they are going to regret not listening.
