There is nothing wrong with asking homework questions. It nauseates me to see people answer right away with "we don't do homework" without even trying to help.
Who cares if its homework? What tyrant set the rule that no homework is allowed?
Whether it's homework, work work, hobby work, slave work, or whatever, everyone deserves to be treated the same and if they ask the question clear enough they should get help.

Exactly:
- If you've posted a clear question, and demonstrated that you've put some effort in to finding the answer yourself, then it deserves an answer.
- If you've just posted your list of requirements / homework question without making any effort to solve it yourself, then "we don't do your work / homework for you" is an acceptable response.

It depends on the question. The point of homework is to manage to do something on your own, without asking someone to do it for you, otherwise you have not learned anything.
The question does not necessarily need to be clear, but there must be evidence that the OP has tried something that did not work, or has at least made a bit of research, which he could not get by with. We do not solve other people's homework, because it is not helping them ultimately. Something like "Pls kindly help : In my linked list, here's the code, does not work here, googled for "pointer" but this and this did not work, what can I do ?" deserves an answer, but "Can you please provide with C# code for a machine that gives back change ?" definitely not.

Mind, 98% of all homework-Q&A-posts consist of a 1-to-1 copy of the original assignment text and nothing else or maybe an added "plz help". At least a minuscule amount of effort before asking and specifying where exactly the individual difficulty is should be to be expected I think.

A 'homework question' is one that list the question as it was given in the class with not the slightest sign of effort to actually solve it...

The guy sitting next to me is from Romania. We got talking about sports and what he likes from Romania. He mentioned that handball was one of his favorites and proceeded to pull up video on his computer.
Up to this point, I had thought Handball[^] was just a form of racquetball[^] where you used your hand instead of a racquet. It sounded stupid. Now, after watching the video, I'm surprised it isn't more popular! Now I'm wondering about all the other things I think are stupid. Like maybe Arnold Schwarzenegger doesn't have the most wins in curling!

Handball was the surprise hot ticket at the 2012 Olympics, GB went handball mad for a while. Our own team did pretty well as minnows with home advantage but since the Olympic machine moved on I don't think they have had their funding renewed.

The various social media, as it expands not only in ease of use but matter-of-factness with said usage has conditioned the cattle (or sheep if you prefer) to get totally used to surrendering what they have at hand to a massive and unknown community. Consider the people who tweet every time they pull a few more wipes of the roll - they're totally acclimated not to "Big Brother Watching" but trying hard as they can to "Make Big Brother Watch". CP readers, in general, should be witty enough to deduce where this comment is going so I need not continue with the embellishment.
