Hint 1: it's all about speed.
Hint 2: Apparently it's meant to look like what it represents, I think the only way to do this, is for you get some tweezers and start pulling out some nose hairs until your eyes well up and then squint as hard as you can. Then it will all become obvious....

I'm trying.
I'm trying soooo hard. Not to like it - I've abandoned all hope of that - but to tolerate it. And ever time I think I can write up "Reflections on Win10", "a week with Win10", or "A week and a day with..." it throws something else b**dy annoying at me.
I keep hoping "this'll be the last one" - but it seems it's fundamental design flaws are completely hidden by its trivial design flaws.

I gave up up with it and am sticking with Win 7 - all the tile nonsense is probably ok for a tablet but for work they drive me nuts I still think XP was the last good offering to come out of MS

Not that I know of - but you can change a few things in Settings...Personalization...Start
Not a lot though. It's OK - sort of - but it doesn't have the flexibility of the Win7 start menu.
