Then Documentation writer (of course), and help desk. The latter happens because our own helpdesk, which counts 6 against 4 programmers, has the very bad habit of assuming that every malfunctioning is "software fault", while normally if they had done their job they would have discovered it was a hardware fault. Bear in mind that we sell advanced machinery, so it's 50% hardware and 50% software.

But they ask to check the software anyway, so we waste a lot of time... Also it happened that we circumvented HW problems with SW workarounds: that was the end of life as we know it. Since we "solved" (ignoring a hardware fault isn't a solution) the problem with software THEN it was a software problem AND all the "similar" (a X-Ray generator not answering is different from a generator answering slowly enough to trigger timeouts) problems are magically solvable software-side. Other hours wasted.

Happens also that our Help Desk calls us asking questions to which they already have the answer, know them since 10 years and have them printed right in front of their eyes.
