Just wondering if anyone had had the following issue with Office 365 and if an uninstall / reinstall is the fix. Google my be broken or maybe I have no Google Fu left.
Customer had Windows 8.1 and Office 365 (2013 as 2016 not working with their MYOB) running along nicely and they have more than 6 months left on Office 365.
A couple of weeks ago Windows 10 installed itself and everything is working except Office 365. Go into any product and it tells you it is not activated. So I enter the Microsoft Account details as requested and all is good until you close the Office program and reopen as instructed and you are back where you started.
If you check their Office Account it tells you they have 1 of 1 license in use, it is on the computer in question and it evens states it is Windows 10 not 8.1. So it seems that the system details have been updated by Office 365.

Can you not just deactivate the license in O365 and then re-install on top.

How to fix "unlicensed product" errors for Office 365 apps[^]
99% of chance that it leads to the same behaviour than you describe ("works and forgets"), but maybe worth a try.
From other forums, I have seen that Windows 10 might install the 64bit version in the upgrade of the OS, so reverting to a fresh install of the 32bit Office 365 would solve that kind of activation problems.

I know the biggest issue I keep having is a confusion between the Office 365 (work/school) account, and my Windows Live (previously passport) account. Both for the same email address.
Recently I was having issues with the Azure portal as well, as it kept using the wrong account. I chatted with MS Support, and the fellow suggested that I use the browser in inPrivate mode - this allowed me to specify which account to log in with.

My marketing knowledge is rather limited, I can't help feeling it was a mistake to let people upgrade for free in the first place.

Giving away things that are less than worthless is one of the main principles of marketing,
Weven = worth more than w10, so they have followed that principle to the letter (or release number).

Not a clue. If I remember it was $7 or so to ship to Florida from China where they are manufactured.
So far I'm pretty impressed, only drawback was I couldn't get WiFi to work with an Edimax dongle I had on hand so I ordered a cheap network switch and it works fine. I've tried Ubuntu, Debian and Android so far and the Ubuntu and Debian look real good wasn't real impressed with Android but not real familiar with Android.
