true you can lie on the internet. A little harder to fake video. Plus there are so many examples. there has even been testing with 50 cal cartridges.

A similar test was performed on an open flame with the same results --- bullets dropped into the fire went off but were not dangerous.

I guess you do not trust Mythbusters either. There are probably better sources than I have found. He did do some additional testing before, and the bullet did not seem to have done any damage to the wood, which means that it would still not cause much damage as long as more vulnerable parts were protected (like the eyes).
