I've read that when a heart transplant is done, the donor's emotions and feelings also come to the donee*.
* Not sure whether this is scientifically proven, but I've read this in an article by a medical doctor.

What I meant was that upon a heart transplant, it has been observed that the nature of a person changes, in that some emotions/feelings get more expressed; and these emotions/feelings were found to be present in the donor. So, the transplanted heart also transplants across some personality traits of the donor. Not always, though.

To me these are not highly credible methodologies or conclusions in minor journals so I give them no credence whatever. When the idea gets a mention in Nature I may get interested (that is the transference of personality traits and emotions). These conclusions are probably completely in the realm of pure chance outcomes. The other emotions experienced by heart recipients are perfectly understandable. Thanks however for the links. It is always good to see the actual source of ideas and claims.
BTW: Thanks especially for the second link. I did not know this was on line. I was able to find the abstract of a paper on which I was the co-author in 1983.

Unfortunately, the internet is full of unproven, unvalidated reports - look at the number of "taken up by aliens" reports you can find! While some emotional changes are to be expected in someone who suddenly receives a transplant enabling them to live instead of die, it's more likely that they are "projections" from the grieving donor's family who want to see something of the departed live on than genuine "emotion transplants".
I have an open mind on this though: just it needs to be links to published, peer-reviewed scientific articles on triple blind trials to support it. And that's difficult, because it requires proper scientific emotional evaluations of the donor prior to his death as well as the recipient...

I was not originally referring to an Internet article, but to an article in a "Readers Digest" equivalent in my language, Kannada. This was authored by a famous doctor in my city, and though it did not have authoritative statements that this was true, it said that there is speculation like this.
