I just built a very small low powered silent (no fans or spinning HDD's) "server" that can do all those tasks, I'm mainly using it as a Roon server (http://www.roonlabs.com)

Its got an ASRock mITX mobo with an Intel N3160 processor and uses around 10W of power in total, the CPU uses just 6W!

Its running Ubuntu server and its great, the best media server I've ever built when considering power usage vs performance.

Its got space for three internal 2.5" drives but I'm also using an external raid USB3.0 caddy with 2x4tb HDD's mirrored, which should take care of data security, but taking separate backups would be a good idea.
