Except that they're not. Or at least not with this change. They're just extending click to play to the sites that were previously whitelisted not to require it.

As much as I loathe flash, killing it in favor of HTML video has one major demerit. Click to play flash had killed the embedded auto-play video cancer. I tried a browser setting to make html5 video click to play over the summer but had to disable it because I kept running into sites whose HTML5 or Flash autoselector confused HTML click to play with no HTML video support and bungled the fallback in a way that left me unable to play the video in either format. D'Oh! | D'Oh! | D'Oh! | D'Oh! | As it stands, sites with html5 players that don't have a never autoplay again setting readily available have become one of the leading causes of my creating my own adcontent-block rules over the last year and a half.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?
--Zachris Topelius

Training a telescope on one’s own belly button will only reveal lint. You like that? You go right on staring at it. I prefer looking at galaxies.
