Black Sabbath plays final show ever tonight[^]
And given what Ozzie has ... uh ... "consumed" over the years I'm gobsmacked he is alive!
OT: Saw him on a TV series last year - Ozzy & Jack's World Detour - and apart from some understandable age and drug abuse related problems, he is doing pretty damn well!

I was lucky enough to see them live a couple of years ago - a fantastic show that I will never forget.
Ozzy was certainly an odd character, though. Two things in particular stood out about him - I'm don't think he knew how much of the show had transpired. He finished every song (even the first one) as if it was the last one, stating "Thank you - you've been a wonderful audience." and stuff like that. Also, whenever the music was playing, he was full of energy, jumping around, fist pumping, etc. When the music stopped, he returned to shuffling around the stage as if he couldn't lift his legs.
He could certainly still pump it out, though!

At first glance, after being informed that the pick-up driver was only 18, I thought "Great, just another idiot kid", but he was the white hat in the story.

Is payment of child support one of the criteria for driving safely, now? Is it on the driving test?
How does that make any sense at all?
Unless, of course, they want him to be unable to work, and therefore repeat the offence twice more, so that they can lock him up in a slave camp for life.

No, it's a consequence for being a deadbeat. Further, he probably knew the DL suspension would occur before it did, so he chose it and the inconvenience. All he had to do is pay what he owes or make arrangements to do so and the DL suspension would have been lifted. But, no, he's a complete dick as this incident proves and so deserves everything that's coming to him. Now he's going to go to jail and will serve hard time. Meanwhile his childcare payments will still be owed and will accrue. Fat lot of good that does his children who will still likely continue to suffer due to his poor choices.

If you are using VS2017 RC, you may have noticed that the regular WiX cannot be installed for the most current version of VS2017 RC. However, assuming you already installed WiX for earlier version of VS, there is a manual procedure to extend WiX functionality to add its projects to VS2017 RC solutions, here:

But note the comment from Basim lower down in this post. I had to do what he suggests, before the WiX extension did work, but now it works 100%
If you're not familiar with WiX: It is a potent generator of application install files (*.msi). It is free.

Time to get familiar with Wix. I've been very interested in it ever since it launched, but just never had need for an installer. My few desktop apps have always just been xcopy install, and web apps FTP or WebDeploy. But now I'm busy on quite a large and very promising desktop app, maybe with accompanying Windows Service. So, time to install in 2017 and start learning.

ObjectTypeId is 1, ObjectId is 2, and VersionNumber is 3. PartDivider is '_'.
The expected result was 1_2_3. The output was 1_298.

Implicit conversions are always a pain. 
More importantly, why is it called objectRefGuid when it doesn't contain a Guid?

Guid = globally unique identifier. In our case it's globally unique where we define "global" as being in the scope of the application.
(It's kinda like the World Series  )

But please, what I tried to say: In production environment downtimes Counts. A machine which can not produce because of IT Problems costs $ x/hour. And our customers Shows us (as the IT suppliers) the bill.

What's wrong is the developer asking "why" questions about their own production code - wrong role.
In production the customers/users ask the "why" questions, to which developers are supposed to say "that's what you/they said you wanted/needed."
The customer is king, but in their presence the developer is never wrong.

He's basically doing this:
"1_2" + '_' + 3
Note that the underscore is a character, not a string (Single quotes = char, Double quotes = string).
So instead of both parts being converted to strings to form "_3", it's treating the character as a number (ASCII code 95), adding 3 to it, THEN converting it to a string... So it becomes "1_2" + "98"
Very subtle. I like it.

That has nothing to do with the fact that JS is loosely typed, but the fact that JS doesn't have a char type.
So '_' is just a string, equivalent to "_", and thus 3 is concatenated as though it was a string.
C# would have done the same if '_' was a string and not a char.
Basically, it's not loosely typed, but poorly typed
