I'm about to buy one and got a few offers, but the best (or seems to be) are about battery powered machines... While I have screwdriver of such nature I have no experience with saw powered by battery... Does it last long enough to be effective? Has it the power to cur harder materials (metal or very old tree)?
Any experience?

First advice:
1. Don't go cheap brand ever - you really get what you pay for
2. Min 18 volt, even if 12/14 on super special anything under 18 you will be cursing before half done.
3 Also don't ever cheapen on blades, doing so will only destroy your work.

I'm not sure about brand (my current is Bosch), but the offers are from Makita, Dewalt and Worx...

Bosch, Dewalt & Makita are good brands - but be careful, sometimes even their 'entry level' models may be under par.
It's typical TCO:
- Pay the extra now and have a tool that lasts and works well for years...
- Buy the cheapo and:
-- 1. within a week you'll be back at the shop buying replacement materials (first lot destroyed by the tool poor function)
-- 2. if you intend more work a year or less later you will be back at the shop buying a replacement tool.
Particularly with a jig saw: cheapo saw + cheapo blades will go crooked (literally in all 3 dimensions) so fast it will destroy the item being cut and if you're not fast enough may take a thumb with it. Really, - I'm not joking, I've been there, cheapo jigsaws are that dangerous.

I agree with Lopatir about the cheapest, and the quality of the blades - but I bought an air compressor years ago, so I buy air tools now in preference to electric ones: They generally are easier to use because all the motor weight is down in the air tank instead of up with the surface being worked on.
My experience with rechargeables is simple: get two batteries, and understand that they will both always be flat as a pancake when you actually want to use them...

It seems our local stores are not there jet... Air tools are rare (and most of them for those working with stone) and are globally have higher prize... From my experience I change tools ever 8-10 years, so maybe at the next switch...

0. A battery one is a complete waste of time, money, and space
1. Don't buy one that has a handle (example[^]); buy one where you hold the motor assembly (example[^]) -- the difference during usage is immense.
n.b. I've used pictures saws from the same company for both examples, but that's out of convenience, and does not express a preference of mine

I quite enjoy jigsaw puzzles, so guess what I thought the post was about? 
However, it never occurred to me until now that a jigsaw puzzle is thus named because it's cut by a jigsaw!

Can I use a client to download Code Project discussions? Back in the old days, a newsgroup client could be used, but it seems now you always have to login to a browser. I would like to use a client if possible.
Not sure where to go to ask this question so I put it to the lounge!

I'm using an RSS reader with this feed for the lounge. It only downloads the subject line and first message of each thread.
If something looks interesting and I want to view the rest of the thread, I can just click a link and CP loads in browser at the selected message. Works well enough for me.

Same here. It was a great introduction to sockets and multi-threading. Some day when I'm feeling particularly masochistic, I plan to re-write it using MASM or NASM.

I never thought about using RSS. Where do I find information on how to get the RSS Feed? I guess I can just use my Outlook 2016 and get the RSS Feed right?

Top-right corner of the page should show the RSS logo. Alternatively, I had posted the link I use for the Lounge feed in my initial response. CP has additional feeds for other things, such as the latest articles.

And yes, I'm guessing that Outlook 2016 still has some place where you can provide RSS feed links. I've never used the feature, but I know it's definitely in older versions (I'm still on 2010).

An amazing experience, I go to these type of films on my own as the wife tends to fall asleep during them. Sat down and a few minutes later a single young lady sat on one side of me and later another single female sat on the other side. It warmed my heart to see single females going to see such geeky films.
Mind you it was the 10 am show!
