If/when the crazies on both sides go from screaming at each other to actually starting the civil war they're trying to egg each other into firing the first shot of; someone's going to start blowing up all the big water pipelines/aqueducts leading into the big coastal cities. I lived in LA for 22 years and my brother lives 1 hour outside L.A.
travel as early as possible and as late as possible, but not during the business hours.
My honest thought would be is to try to get a 75-100% remote/telecommute job, if you can.
There is no tip or trick of dealing with LA traffic, other than get on the road when most people are not on it...or move the f**k out of L.A., like I did (never looked back).
