I used to be flooded by completely uninteresting (for me) articles so much that it was months since the last time I looked in the "Articles" division of the home page. The filters resetted randomly, most of them are too coarse, and when filtering QA the filter would stay in memory and apply to the articles.
Other than that there are authors - some authors regularly publish about things I'm interested to: internals, assembler, math, algorithms. Having them mixed together with all the bloat of TheNewFramework(tm) meant that I almost always lost their new content. Now CP home page is actually meaningful to me, a real center of navigation for the whole site.

Thanks for the feedback. @matthew-dennis did most of the heavy lifting on this one. We should write up the system one of these days. Maybe when it's finished

It fails to explain:
a) what the actual intention was
b) what the problem is
c) what has been attempted (if, indeed, anything has)
And it does that annoying thing of have the title as the text.
The only thing that's remotely in its favour is that it starts with the word "please."
It is, however you look at it, a very poor question. I don't often downvote, but this one really had me thinking "Oh! Do come on! At least make a bit of an effort before you waste the time of people who are prepared to answer questions for you!"
Would anyone regard this as a harsh action?

Whereas I agree with you that it is indeed a poorly formulated question, I can't help but feel that the OP may not be very good at English.
That's quite a dilemma: CP is an English speaking site, and a lot of members expect other members to have a perfect command of the English language. On the other hand, there are plenty of developers than don't have English as a native tongue, but still experience problems they need help with.
Surely, it's not fair to be rude to members for not being able to speak perfect English, but on the other hand, it does limit the help we can give them. 
BTW: I noticed that apparently it is no longer possible to see who posted the question... That seems odd to me. Would anybody care to explain why?

I have been a member here for a long time, and it makes me chuckle when members bring Q&A bullshit to the Lounge, usually for the public embarrassment of the Q&A-OP, however it is packaged. This post is nothing more than that, IMHO.

I ask merely in light of recent discussions where some have suggested that it's harsh to be judgmental about newbie posts - I certainly have no intention to embarrass the OP who is highly unlikely to see my post my here.
I've not factored into anything the fact that the poster is not a first-language English speaker or the level of his coding skills. Simply, that it's a very poor question in that it doesn't actually ask anything.

I think it's less harsh than my usual way: I completely disregard them and not waste even a second of my time on them, just by the title.
