so what have you tried lately?
I have lived with several Zen masters - all of them were cats.
His last invention was an evil Lasagna. It didn't kill anyone, and it actually tasted pretty good.

My mother's cooking. The only worst cooking I ever knew is my grandmother's... on the other branch of the family. But my mother routinely cooks stuuf that expired years ago. Record: pizza with self-raising flour expired 15 years before. It was hard as a diamond.

umm, are they suggesting something bad may happen with their product??
Sounds like it's not their food they're not trusting, but rather your microwave oven.

I can't blame them, my microwave makes me burn my hands on the plate while the food is still frozen solid

Seen before a sulphurous moon, road marker’s all grown up now (6, 6)
Visible road marker before a sulphurous moon (6, 6)
The "all grown up now" was more a comment on the solution, rather than part of the clue!
(This one would be impossible in many places, but I reckon should be OK here)

I haven't worked out how the whole solution fits yet so I could be way off, but as some of it seems to fit nicely I am going to have a guess...

Sorry, no... am adding a clarification to the original clue...

Im kind of glad because I was really struggling to get the second half of the solution

Visual Studio
Visual (visible) + stud (road marker) + Io (sulphurous moon).

Oh...
Perhaps could have stuck "Environment" on the end after "moon"

Yes, there really should be some kind of definition in there. Environment on the end would have worked beautifully.

Yep, spot on.
The "all grown up" reference was because VS turned 21 last year.
Point taken about overall definition!

My God, 21!!!
I was blissfully unaware of it back in the 20th century, shelling out of vi to run cc was about as close as I got to an IDE in those days.
