I thought Haikus are 5,7,5? You seem to have unleashed a 7,6,5.

You got me The position of the seven syllable line is not "nailed down" in modern haiku which have only an often vague relation to classic Japanese forms: [^].

I knew it wasn't quite syllables that should be counted, but I guess we don't have much other option when we write them in English.

5 1 Initial results were discovered to be due to either undue Russian influence on the voting, Fake News, or an inability to count without using my fingers.
Since we have a tie, with one expressed preference for a second vote from super , we'll move to "limited themes" with a "themed week" starting on the first Monday of each month for simplicity.
So next week is unthemed, the following week will be themed.
Sound fair?

Fine by me, and we can always re-review in 2-3 months to see if people are happy.
I would suggest though that during themed weeks the post it marked as such, and it also includes what the actual theme of the week is, so as to save people from having to look up past solutions to work out what the theme is supposed to be.

I agree with this too

Today and tomorrow continue the theme (in case you have ready CCCs), Monday is back to normal.

Well we could do a best of both worlds scenario. To satisfy the 3 voters, lets do themes on the first week of each month. Then to satisfy the 4 voters, we will completely get rid of themes for the rest of the month...

How about 3/4 themed? Let's call it 'fuzzy themed'.

I'd say themes are (and should be) a little fuzzy already.
This week's was half-meant to be 1960's TV shows!

Let's make it easier for you: "Mimbari Star Fleet officer who was lost in space?" (4)

I thought you knew your 60's TV?
Hint: You are looking for an actor that was in Lost in Space, Babylon 5, and played a Starfleet Officer in DS9.
Interestingly, LiS and B5 had two actors in common, but only one was in ST as well.
