The daily Bing image[^], of course 
I have an app that puts the image on my desktop's background.
This particular one made me scratch my head.
For a minute there I thought the building had a sticker or a painting of trees on the concrete below it.
The thought even crossed my mind that this was some very poor PaintShop job.
Then I realized there's no concrete at all and what I'm looking at is just the background under a bridge!

Interesting. It appears to be dependent on which end of the train you are looking at. If I look at the farthest end, it's moving away, but if I look at the closest end, it's moving toward me.

Interesting concept. By limiting the animation to two frames, each super-imposeable but with alternate coloration, you can see it either way as, without intermediate images there is no implied directionalality.
It's neat - I'd not thought of that, before.

The lock screen in Windows 10 shows awesome pictures by default 
I guess it's the Bing one, but it's different from the one on my desktop.
So that's twice the fun

I have a considerable dislike for these over-saturated images.
They're appearing all over the place. In stores, I've seen them selling samsung's latest and greatest TV's all blaring absurdly intense colors.
Acceptable to the consumer due to the effect of retinal damage from cell phone staring?

You just haven't seen the right autumn scenery. With the right amount of sunlight, the area I'm in can look very similar to what you see in that picture. Not exaggerating.

I have taken some richly colored photos, myself. One, of a (no actual sun, though) sunset (with certain props so it just wasn't yet another sunset) has the sky look like impressionist painting (a side effect the focal point being about 20cm away instead of the sky. Some others, now and then.
But nothing like the eyesores that I see posted every which way. The beauty comes from the subtlety. Nature's particularly good at that.
