I've hit the "flag" on the messages but not the members - they are both long term and know the rules, but I suspect the lack of a soapbox may have contributed.

Michael has left the building.
It sucks, it really does. Mick loves a fight, loves to spew forth like he's at the pub on a Friday arvo with his mates, but it goes downhill so fast and so hard. We're not a church and you won't go to the bad place if you fart here, but we are a site for use during office hours, and as such our readers need to be able to safely have CodeProject open in the office without having to worry too much about what's on the screen.
I just wish we can talk tech and programming and whine about dumb users or awesome UIs or whatever, and then those wishing to have a stouche could head off to their favourite troll bait site and go nuts there and come back after blowing off the steam. We're trying to learn, and teach, and keep up with the impossible task of keeping up with technology. Chatting and ribbing each other is great fun - but keep the fights and the ugliness out of here.
