If you don't want them, don't have them. But you'll miss out on the best personal growth you could ever have if you don't raise kids.
But it's your decision and I don't care one way or the other.

You're not all wrong; Israel is very much a child-oriented society. Most Israeli couples (of whatever religion) want at least some children, and it is rare in my experience to find a couple that admits that they do not any children.

Garmin is finally bringing their services online this morning after being down for nearly a week because of ransomware. Garmin has been very tight lipped about what is going on and saying nothing thru official channels. That doesn't mean lots of employees aren't talking though.
what I am curious about is how they are correcting this issue. The way I see it they had three choices.
1. do a system restore and bring things up. - I doubt this one happened just because of the time it has taken. But I might be wrong.
2. Rebuild the systems from scratch and let everyones devices rebuild the data into the system. It looks like this might be possible at least for the wearable devices. Would not work for aviation.
3. Paid the ransomware and watch things automagically start working. This would be concerning in that what is left in the system?
Thoughts?

Personally, I prefer the "nuclear option": reformat and reload from backup.
Paying the ransom? Not a good idea - firstly because it encourages more attacks, both generally (because it's money for old rope) and specifically (because you paid last time, you're more likely to get attacked again (it's always easier to recycle a mug punter than find new ones).
And there is the other risk with paying: there are fake ransomwares out there: they scramble your data, but don't actually worry about encryption. You pay, they send you a code that doesn't work; you pay again, ... repeat until the accountants find out.

Agreed. This assumes, of course, that (a) you have been making backups, and (b) the backups are readable. Horror stories about corrupt backups that were not verified abound.

Also agreed. However, if the choice is between going out of business because of SysAdmin stupidity/negligence and paying the ransom...

I'm betting on (3). What could go wrong?

It takes time to recover from an attack.
You need to sanitize all your servers/databases, you need to sanitize all desktops/laptops/portable devices that has access to their systems.
You need to upgrade "best practices"; you need to upgrade your security systems.
You probably need to hire a trusted 3rd party to double check all systems.
You also need to check with your lawyers and insurances.

Given that Garmin are incorporated in Switzerland, they'll probably send the banksters after them.

Nearly every business seems to be requiring masks now but what I find interesting is that they are also enforcing social distancing rules as well. It seems that if you are saying we still need to stay away from each other even with masks on you're really saying that masks don't work.
Too much emotion involved in so many decisions these days. #BringBackLogic

If airbags work, why have seat belts? If seatbelts work, why have airbags? If both work, why have brakes?
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

So replace "airbags" with "face masks" and replace "seat belts" with "social distancing" and you have just answered your own question.

I guess I read that you were suggesting it's proof that masks don't work, when I think it only proves that masks don't work 100% of the time.

Masks partially work, as does social distancing. It's a probability game, and those two are the best way of decreasing the rate of new cases. Also, at least where I am, you may keep 6 feet away most of the time, but going down aisles and what not you're going to come within 6 feet of each other.
