I forgot all about RAID 5+0; I thought for a minute that was the equivalent of RAID-10, but it's apparently not. Neither is RAID6. Now unless I find something with tables and pretty pictures, I'm more confused than ever about which is which. Smile | :) But that's not the point.

Suffice it to say that given the capacity/redundancy and the drives I have at my disposal (four x 8TB), RAID5 seemed like the best compromise to me. I would hate to have 32TB worth of drives but get to use "only" half the capacity.
