I wrote a code having ActiveX object but it doesn't run on Firefox and Chrome,can anyone tell me how this is made compatible with other browsers?

Neither Firefox nor Google Chrome support ActiveX. You can find the reasons on their support web sites: Firefox[^] and Google Chrome[^].
But there are plug-ins for them which you will find in the given link.

I am considering that you are developing a web application. So you can't force the client to download these plug-ins. Thus these plug-ins do not solve your problem. You may have to re-consider your design. I don't know much about an alternative but a quick Google search for "activex alternative[^]" gives some good links. I would suggest you to study them and put up an answer here or a Technical blog about the same. :thumbsup:
