how to get tally files into excel sheet

Hi,

I have a Tally[^] trial version 9.0.

I want to convert the Tally files into excel sheet. But I can't convert it. After clicking the accept button error "unable to initialize excel application" occurs. In my system I am using Openoffice. Is it possible to use rather than excel?

Please clear my doubt.

Tally's site url has been added. Actually Tally is an Accounting software package which is famous/cheap in India.

try after re installing software (don't copy it) and run as administrator
create an excel file with exact name that you are typing on the output file destination
it will work fyn :)
