what is the disadvantage in loading subreports in a crystal report

Hi ,
I have a doubt on crystal reports, is there any disadvantage with subreports in Crystalreports .I am in a Hospital Management Project. Here i have a requirement of subreports.I am having 6 sub reports.Is there any performance issue???

Anything done wrongly has disadvantages.

Whenever possible, coordinate your report data by linking database tables with the Visual Linking Expert, rather than by linking regular subreports — that is, subreports that aren't on-demand subreports — to the main report. Since each subreport is run as a separate report, linked tables often have a performance advantage.
