Hi,

I have installed my website on windows 2008 server with ssl enabled for this site.

Now, I am geting this error "Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete." when hitting the url with https://websitename

How can this be solved.Thanks in advance.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

Do you have javascript enabled? Some cookie or javascript related extension(s) installed? Those may be causing the issue...

This may be due to these two:

1.Your portal alias has a trailing "/", e.g.: www.example.com/. Simply remove the "/" to fix the problem.

2.The website is on a port number other than port 80. Simply change web.config and set usePortNumber="true" .
