How to use svcutil.exe in command prompt

Hai,

I created a wcfservice.After that I want to use this wcfservice in my c# .net web application.My doubt is why we are using svcutil.exe in command prompt for this to consume service.If I type svcutil.exe it showing error "svcutil"is not recognised as an internal or external command.

Please clear this doubt

Solution 1

For using Visual Studio Tools from the command-prompt we should use the Visual Studio Command Prompt. This command-prompt sets the Path environment-variable, to contain the path of the needed tools.
