C:\ is not accessible Access is denied.

Hi,

I was working with my application. Suddenly Crash has come. After that i tried to open my C:\. it is saying that "C:\ is not accessible Access is denied".

Please anyone help me. I am struggling a lot. Will I lost my data? :(

"Suddenly Crash has come" is useless information. How are you "opening" C:? Why? What data?

Any programmer should know that user data should be place somewhere in user folder.

Solution 1

It depends: probably not. If you are trying to write to c:\ that that is probably the problem. Vista and Win7 both refuse write access to the root directory of the boot drive unless you have admin permissions. It may just be that you need to tell you program to write somewhere else.
