Drop Down List Setup help!!!

I have 11 drop down list boxes. The main drop down list box has the data bound to a table named schools. The data field to be displayed in the dropdownlist is School name. The data field for the value of the dropdownlist is INST_ID. Each school has this INST_ID. The other 10 dropdownlist boxes have years in them setup the same way just have the year as the display name and INST_ID is the value. My question is: Did I set this up right for when a user chooses a school that the other dropdownlist boxes will have the different years for the user to select and populate the textboxes that needed to be shown? What will be the best populated code to use for each dropdownlist box?
