What are the ways for transactions control mechanism on SharePoint list? like Rollback and Commit?

Transaction control In SharePoint ? PLease Consider Below Scenario for more details

case 1: When an item is added in a List I want to update another List item. But if the update fails I want to rollback the item added to the first list.

case 2: Updating 5 List items programatically. If 5th update fails, I want to rollback previous 4 updates.

If you have anything to Share regarding this please tell me .
