Valus from excel file in Iframe to be saved to DB

how to read a excel file which is in iframe, the user will do some changes to excel after which the changes are to be saved to database [using C# or java script].

is it possible to take like innerHTML or innerText of the iframe which contains excel where user has made changes ? , if yes , so these values can be collected and can be saved to DB

kindly advise
