First of all, get rid of central columns. The side space is unused. The buttons (like "Tweet", "f Share") are cut from bottom. Right column is shorter, which also creates a lot of unused space. Top line on black background is very irritating.
Unfortunately, most sites these days, including yours, need one main thing: a lot of simplification, clarity. The user does not know where to go. One of the first principle of design: everything, every little line, image or change in background should have its purpose.
If you cannot clearly explain the purpose of some element, get rid of it.
Elements needs to be separated, to show what is associated with what. If you try to separate and group elements with borders and colors, it creates mess, visual noise, distractions. One of the best technique is isolate by distance: to show that some title belongs to the upper picture, not the lower one, make the distance between a title and a picture obviously smaller than the distance between pictures.
