My workload is reasonable, I like my coworkers and immediate supervisors, most of my projects are interesting; but... I'm working for a contractor whose headcount has been shrinking for several years; and the job stability related stress is getting to be frustrating and the rising share of money sucked up by fixed costs has started to squeeze everything else.

I am too picky when it comes to technical stuff for me.
so I usually ask for people to not buy me that stuff and instead stick to the simple things like shirts, socks, underwear and jeans.
