Two years ago, I posted SQL Server Performance Impacted by New Features[^] I've seen bad SQL many times, but that was the worst I've encountered. It was the first time I'd ever seen when using TOP "n" increased the time to get a response. If the question was deleted, how could you post a solution?

Well, the expedition's purpose is:

So, it does seem a touch ironic. Proof of nothing though (save the weather in the Antarctic is unpredictable), especially not proof of the denier message.
Looking at the "science leaders" of the expedition, it seems they have quite a wide range[^] of studies: invertebrates to tree rings, ornithology to climate modelling. Too bad they couldn't complete the mission (this time anyway, I'm hoping they'll try again).

Well, it's still a long bow to draw from that statement to 'global warming scientists', especially given that, as you say, there's a wide range of disciplines represented.

Off the top of my head I can't think of any.
The contents of the child are dependent on the value chosen in the parent, so if the choice of the child changed the choice (or worse changed the values) of the parent, then that could change the values available in the child, which could cause a change in the parent... A touch recursive...
