In the battle of obtaining your information, ignorance is their greatest weapon,
So before getting the document they want us to read we have to give then our information????? WTF???
And an optional password? For what?
Is this advertising, or a freebie? Why can't they give it away for free without asking us for our information?
I'm not ignorant so I won't be subscribing to this "wanting my information".

The password is for those not logged in. You don't need to provide it: we'll set you up with a random one.
Registration to download information relevant to your current research means the companies involved can follow up with you to provide help and more info on their services if you're interested. Usually the information provided is stuff they've spent a bit of time putting together, so not all companies are willing to just do the work and throw it out there.
It's totally up to you if you're not interested in having a conversation with them.
HOWEVER: I totally love the irony of the statement though

Norton Ghost... but I don't think it is related to that, because if I generate a folder in Windows then I can't see it in any program running from BootCD.
And even more interesting... I format the partition using parangon partition manager and when I go back to windows, the folder is still there

Did you check the obvious? The files on D aren't marked with the hidden attribute? You can't see them when you boot from a Linux Live CD? Something may be trying to hide them from clueless users so they don't accidently remove them.
We can program with only 1's, but if all you've got are zeros, you've got nothing.

I didn't, because it would make no sense that the attibute is set for just one user generated test folder or test.txt file.
Files generated using Boot CD don't show in Windows
Files / Folder from Windows don't show in environment of BootCD
And even more interesting... if delete / create the partition from bootcd changes are reflected in windows. If I only format the partition using bootcd... test file and folder remain untouched in windows. Hidden files would be deleted as well, wouldn't they?
All other pcs at home or my parents-in-law work normal. Means same CD sees windows and windows see new backups

Any chance Windows and the bootCD are using different partition tables? You can have both a GPT and an MBR one, although it would probably break things if you tried to use them simultaneously. If you're using a mixture of old and new tools and OSs, you could be exercising this sort of scenario.
Yes, formatting the partition should wipe everything out. Unless they're actually different places on the disk, hence my question about partition tables.
As far as disk media testing goes, you do know not to use the windows tools for any of that sort of checking, right?

I was starting to think in that way...
BootCD is like from time Win Vista / beggining of Win 7.
The fact that both things are consistent means the drive is working fine, only that both systems can't speak with each other.
I still have one or two ideas in the box I want to check.
About media check, I usually use the ones on the bootcd, not the ones from windows. I already lost the contents of one USB drive due to windows "check" question when pluging in

Clearly, not the model citizen. Only a monster can shoot and kill dogs.
As with child abusers, I personally think they should be locked up in isolation for a long time. Repeat offenders need to be put down so as to keep the children safe.

As you said in another post, everyone is entitled to their opinion. The OP replied to your quote about "only monsters can shoot dogs." OP gave you a scenario where they would not be a monster but actually would be a hero by shooting a dog.
That's not trolling, just helping to clarify the statement you made.  Remember, this is a site full of pedants.
