Hello,
Thank you Gustavo for your great library. I've finally made a public release of Creative Docs .NET which includes a slightly modified version of your library (see blog entry for version 2.0.14[^]).
I promise I'll make the modifications available in the (near?) future, but I don't know when.

hi,
first of all, i'm deeply impressed with your
iconlib. i did an icon editor program some time
ago and had to face the same task.
("variicons" http://www.varisoft.ag.vu/)
you did the structuring much metter than me,
because i didn't know about the fixed-statement
i will try to rewrite my icon editor soon,
can you send me some information on the .icl
format or is it just the ne format?
regards, julian

Hi, I loved your OpenFileDialog with Image preview. Our company needs a VB.NET 1.1 version and we are willing to pay for you to port over the dialog to .NET 1.1. Even a dll would work without source code. Is there any chance we could persuade you to do this?

Well I can write for you in any .NET language. We only need an idea how it can be done. If you are really interested let me know else I do not want to waste the time.

Hi Gustavo!
Congratulations for this excellent work. It’s just what I need to finish my project..
I have, what I think it may be a very dummy question, but I’m writing in VB6, and in order to use your library I understand I need to reference it first. But I get the following message after going to Project --> References -> Browse (then select you lib) : “Can’t add a reference to the specific file”
Could it be something I’m doing wrong? Or something I’m missing?
Again Gustavo, thanks a lot for contribution
Regards
Esteban

Dear Gustavo,
Your article about the file dialog is really amazing, it'great to read it.
However, the way you implemented may not fit my case.
I need one button in the bottom of the dialog, and when I used your method, there are several problems:
1 When I handle the event of my own button click, DummyForm.WndProc meets some error at sometime.
2 when form.Close() in ShowDialog, the main form will lose focus.
Google's Picasa has a filedialog on the button "import files" as I wish to attain. I think it is implemented by using GetOpenFileName.
Could you give some hints how to use the API for a custom openfiledialog?
Thank you very much.
My email is ssharry@ustc.edu
Best wishes!

Hi,
I have a problem while utilizing your pathfinder algo. Here is the detail of the same: http://silverlight.net/forums/t/89180.aspx
I'm developing a game in Silverlight which need path finder algo. I though it won't be a good idea to build of my own. So I give a search and found your A*. Its just perfect and Quite fast then other algos(A*) implementation. But I ran into a problem.
My requirement is something like this: This is a Tower defender game. So user can place defenders (similar to the wall) in a fashion similar to the image's wall(in forum). So ideally there should be no way from that diagonal. But for rest of the application there must be diagonal way(if possible). So how I modify your class to not include diagonals which are occupied in this fashion. (Sorry I can't be so expressive as I want to.)

Hi Gustavo
I am Yasser from egypt, and now I am developing a new application
Named TAMRA it changes windows icons
And I am using a control to draw icon on it, this control is inherited from the control class
But it slows my application down becouse I draw every icon in the dll file on a single control
So, if the icon file (e.g. dll) contains 300 icons I should create 300 instances of my control and this slow my application down
I developed a control to do this with CreateWindowEX API function and it works
but I made it with vb6, but when I converted it to VB.NET it didn't worked
Then I converted it to C# but it didn't worked too
Finally I created it with NativeWindow class with C# and VB.NET
and it works but with some exceptions
When I create the control for the first time it works but When I resize the form or move my mouse over it for 4 or 5 times it disapear
So I decided to ask you for your help becouse I know that you are a proffesional programmer and love challenges
And I will send you my code comming soon becouse I wrote this words from outdoors and the code is on my personal PC and it wasn't with me, but I think you may know or have a code to do something
what I need without the need to my code
And finally I want to thank you for your IconLib class and say it is fantastic, but I hope you
write an article to explain the structure of the .ICO files and all the files that may contains
icons becouse I want to understand the code of the library before using it
And I say sorry if there are any mistakes in writing becouse my english is not excellent
Regards
Yasser Sobhy.

Hi Castor,
I love your FileOpenDialog extention for file preview - it's been really great in XP.
However, in Windows 7 64-bit, it seems to not work correctly. I think the problem is that the file dialog itself is filling the whole of the extended form, so the custom bit is being painted over.
If you have time, please could you revisit this superb piece of work and see if you can spot what's going on? I'm hoping there's a fix that will not break it in XP!
Cheers,
Clive

Hi Gustavo.
My name is Christian Del Bianco and I live in Swiss.
I have seen your article about ORACLE queue because I was looking for some info about it.
Infact I have created a C# component that emulare .NET SqlDependency class. You can see the detail here:https://sqltabledependency.codeplex.com/[^]
Currently is working only on SQL Server.
I'd like to have that for ORACLE olso...So my question is. Would you like to join me ? I need someone expert on Oracle queue, in order to create a branch component working on oracle.
Let me know if you are interested.
