GridView sounds like displaying tabular data for view purpose, check your requirement once again "an editor in a grid view", doesn't sound right to me, perhaps, you should think to solve this problem at requirement level, instead of finding a technical solution.

A bit of code is useful here, anyway here is my suggestion, UpdatePanels will do a complete request but only repaints the Panel area,if you want the script to be fired every time the panel is updated, then you should think of placing the script inside the update panel.

the problem here, i have folder with 1000 of folders in it and they contain many, I don't think reading the directory in this way and using regular expressions on them is ideal, I created a 5 to 6 line solution, a batch file, which works like a charm, I have used the unix tools on windows to solve it

I am glad that you found solution, but i have a question, you said for each list item you create a pane, i don't know but.., the purpose of accordian is to group similar items to one group. but should be fine as long as you know what you are doing.

the above method you can remove, place where we need to write the payment control addition is
void DynamicUserControl_addPayment(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
//Implement Adding functionality for payment control
//Follow similar to RemoveUserControl code
}
in WebUserControl class, and remove the call DynamicUserControl.AddpayControl(); from for loop in the default.aspx

I think this is a good idea, but when the control output is changed frequently, I am looking how much impact the code will cause if we go with XML DOM model.
