I tried showing the output on an iframe and that worked. But I wanted to see if there is any other way.

Well, I just got the SQL way of encoding varbinary(max) to / from base64 string. Thanks for the suggesting this approach..... Intends to get the query result as base64 string instead of varbinary and they save is as xml file through a datatable..........

As I understand, you are suggesting a loop through the dataset populated by the query to fetch each varbinary value and convert it to Base64 string and save it in the OLEDB database. I also convert this back to the varbinary, when I upload this to SQL Server. Is it possible for you to give an example?

This code prevents loading of the control twice. Will this also prevent repeated firing of the OnPageINdexChanging event? Or do I have to check if the event was fired before allowing the event to fire?
I am adding the UserControl using mark up.

I am not using impersonation.
DB server is on the same machine as the web app. I have set the application pool to defaultApplicationPool

I am not able to get the image in bytearray from the generic handler. Any thoughts?

So, it means that when I use ImageUrl property, the generic handler will render the same image, which I can convert to a Byte array and store in the database. Is it correct?

I am sorry, but I did not follow your suggestion. I am able to find the documents matching the query. My requirement is to extract some text of the document where the search criteria is found.

Is it possible for you to send me a small sample project of yours, so that I can compare other aspects, which might have led to me current situation?

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, it did not work. One good thing to see is that the picture object changes the size based on the size of the image I am trying to see. But there is no image.
Any other suggestions?
PS: It is actually disgusting to see that the solution is not working, even though the same lines of codes recommended by many.....
