you can just make use of the INI file concept. You can have your application settings in the system and read it and write to it just like you do it in an INI file. But actually it is in registry. You dont need to bother about such things. You just want your application to read correct profile settings value..Thats it rt?...Is your issue solved now?

check using the function GetProfileString() to see whether the value has been updated.

are you not getting the value "ABC" in csValue??
actually these setting details are updated in the registry.not in any INI file. You dont need to bother about viewing those details.just ensure that from program you can access it

you can set a key which has stores the applications profile settings via the member variable m_pszRegistryKey.

eg:pApp->m_pszRegistryKey = "MYKEY"also set NULL value after usage
this key will be found under HKEY_CURRENT_USER->SOFTWARE in registry

not clear what you are trying to attempt. Can you show the exact line where you are getting error? have to overloaded the = operator in your CChartCtrl class or its base class if any?

How much data is the WriteString holds. Actually there is no size limit for CString. Depends on system memory and process memory. Please post the exact warning message and line you are getting.

This will not work. because you have to continusly play the avi file. For that calling just one Play() is not enough. you refer the link i have specified. there the video is played in a message loop until you get the event to stop the play

are you coding in c++ using Open CV?

It is possible with normal c++ file read/write operations. for example suppose the content of your text file is "This is my file". here you can replace
'T' with '0'
'h' with 'x'
'i' with '!
's' with '@'

so that your file may look like "0x!@ i@..."
you can use your own logic to do this. What i said is just an example

This is because your visual studio settings has changed by mistake. If you are using Visual Studio 6.0. go to Tools->Options->Directories and check whether you have included all necessary include file folders

there is chance that in ur project a global function called DisplayMessage() and a class member function called DisplayMessage() exists. so to resolve the conflict between this when called from the class.

Can u do Ctrl + Alt + Space and try again. Another thing u can do is go to Tools -> Import and Export settings -> Reset all settings. but ur current settings will be changed. so be careful

without GDI this is the maximum shadow effect that we can have. COLOR_BTNSHADOW gives the shadow effect that suits for for a normal MFC dialog box

Actually i dont have visual studio 2010 installed. Are you finding any option like Tools->Options->Text Editor(tree control)
Then exapnd the "Text Editor" node of the tree. you may find "All Languages" node
select that node and at the rifht side there is a section called "Statement completion". check all the check boxes under that section only.

what if your rich edit control's size goes beyond your dialog box's size as the data grows?sounds senseless...

Can you be clear?What you really need?you want to have an rich edit control without any scroll bar. but it should contain any amount of data. as the data increases, instead of showing the scroll bar, your rcih edit control's size it self should increase?

could not find any other solution:( the list box that comes down with the MFC combo box looks different from the normal list box.se its boarder....can make a try using owner draw list box..not sure whether it works....no way to get its style using winspy also..

This is not because you kept the last parameter as FALSE. some of your dll that the application using is missing, or not proper.

I think DirectX 9.0 includes directshow. No matter if u use even higher versions..windows SDK now comes up with directshow...

But it seems like you need to write something to your file while closing.And while opening you need to get it back and see in view.
If this is what you need
no need to write any CFile class or operate on it.
Your document class Serialize()methode does everything for you..
you add your code in that methode to handle open/close logic

why dont you try debugging the function DumpMessage() in server.

Have you already implemented some part of your linked list?
If so you may be keeping a header or root node rt
like 'pHeader' or something.
to check if first node
if(pHeader->data == pCurrentNode->data )
to check if last node
if(pHeader->pNext == NULL )
if both these fail it is a node in b/w.
Do traverse thru node in a loop to update pCurrentNode value.
