Oh.. and just guessing, does the pageload fires after hitting the button? cause if it does then the problem could be on the page load and it might be interrupting the button event. Try putting a break point in this line of code "Session("AppraisalId") = -1" and then run through it.. tell me if there's an error.

I dont get it at all.. If you want to save the user who logs in/out then just save it on the database the way you want it to be saved. Can't seem to find the reason as to why you need the session for this.

Do you have any other options other than Microsoft.Office.Interop? Well, as per my experience it has a lot of issues when deployed to server. And I've read a lot of article stating not to use it.

Does the error only occurs on IE10? Have you tried with other browsers?

I dont think that's possible with crystal report.. but if you want other ways to import to excel you could use interop or epplus.
