you must create some deployment package, some setup files, you need to make sure he has required .net version installed, and sql connections are present at his system. (you do not need any management suite but your setup must have the ability to copy its mdb files,if you are using "x-Copy" method or it will have to execute query file to make db)

Then use a temporary table. (It will cast you a lot of performance) which has a auto number column and a studentID/name column (use all of the columns if you want), now insert values from you main table like
Insert into tempTable(student name) select studentName from studentTable order by marks desc
This will generate a ranked student record column
Now select your record of student from there. That's it.
Next time please specify all the details with your question.

i dont know if this scenario is exactly what you need, or you are just giving an example of what you want,
for this case you might need something like a string split function, once you have your values you will be comparing those with color id. you can write procedures etc to get that. but this only make things bigger and complex... may be your actual solution worth the complexity or not...

as far as i know a single record can only be addressed using foreign key (1 to many/ 1 to 1, no many to many)
but for many to many, create a fact table which only holds the primary keys of both tables.

a number is armstrong no, if you cube all the digits in it and sum them and you get your number again... if this deification is incorrect then i am wrong
x is armstrong if (x^3)=x (for single digit no)
xy is armstrong if (x^3)+(y^3)=xy (for two digit no),
psychic6000
28-Oct-12 12:14pm

then those must not be armstrong number...

i disagree with your optimization, in each reputation of this for loop, two comparison are being performed (one in for loop, 2nd in IF statement), in yours comment comparisons become three...
although you are right there are many other ways to increase performance...

in side the login process(code), use a boolean variable,read the isLocked into boolean, apply an if statement eg if(myboolean==false) { Say_user_is_looked(); return; } use return or reverse process(if you have written anything to database), but do not let user login.

your question doesnt give much information, first of all what kind of database you are connecting to? Oracle or SQL etc secondly you are connected to your database using LINQ datasource (or sql client connection).
anyway, you need a stream reader and byte array to convert/de-convert your image to bytes, than save/load it into/out of database

my bad... i didnt notice that,
well in this case i use a little theory of mine
boolean allcorrect =true;
allcorrect = allcorrect && firstCondition
allcorrect = allcorrect && secondCondition
in this case if any of the condition fails allcorrect variable becomes false.
e.g
Boolean allcorrect = true;
allcorrect = allcorrect && (1 == 1);
Console.WriteLine(allcorrect.ToString());
allcorrect = allcorrect && (1 == 2);
Console.WriteLine(allcorrect.ToString());

@billwoodruff: i am not saying i am a master programmer or something, but .NET says if you call application.exit, it will not provoke any of the events (form.closing or closed etc). so thats the catch... despite the closing event is canceled or not, application will exit.
and i think asker is satisfied with the solution :)

remove keyword "and" between where and group by
a hint to asker, why dont you just make unique(owner, domain, id) so there will be no repeated records.

yes you are right again... i do realize it was a mistake to use html in first place. even by a designer point of view, html is nothing compared to asp/php... i mean all the look up etc... but as i mentioned above, now the problem is time...
and i think you are right... i should write a text soft which reads the files and replaces the lines as acquired to my needs... thanks again :)

actually its university project, and it had to be static, so we made it on html, now instructor says to apply some login capabilities... that if user is not logged in, page doesnt load at all....
