I'm Looking to start carrer in asp so whar are the basic topics first required to learn and implement in a small project. some say u need learn ajax or silverlight i'm bit confused?????????

Since you mentioned basic, I assume you have little or no knowledge yet about ASP.Net. My suggestion is buy an ASP.Net book for beginners. You may also want to check this link for a list of topics that you need to learn using this technology.

I always advise to start with the original: http://www.asp.net/[^].

However, learn basics of .NET and C# well before you start. Don't start with ASP.NET it if you're not comfortable with .NET programming.

Thank you, Anvas. If they are simpler, they can be used as a convenient complement, but http://asp.net should not be ignored anyway.
