How to extract answers from a scanned copy

Hi seniours,
I am working on an application which would help to automate the MCQ Paper marking process and it should be able to extract answers given by the candidate from the scanned copy of answer sheet. I have gone through internet and found that Optical character recognition(OCR) can be helpful. But I couldn't find its proper implementation with asp.net. Please guide how can I achieve this functionality.
